BRSCC BMW Race Days Compact Cup
Overview: The BMW Compact Cup has only been running since 2012 and already the media is all
over it. Drivers from all over the country and from all backgrounds are getting involved in this new
low cost racing class. The Scottish championship is seeing great support with increasing entrants on every event
Chassis: BMW E36 Compact 318, the donor car for the KCMS car 84 was a 1994 model
Engine: The only permitted engine is the BMW M44 1.9 16v. All internal engine parts must be from the original M44
engine. A 0.5mm re-bore is permitted with a maximum Compression ratio of 11:1. Vibra Technics engine mounts
can be used. The ECU permitted is the controlled Compact Cup unit.
Transmission: Standard gearbox and ratios must be retained. BMW quick shift gear change is permitted, Final drive ratio must be 3.38:1
Tyres: Nankang 195/50R15 86W NS-2R 180 (STREET) XL
Brakes: BMW E36 M3 discs and calipers are specifically prohibited
Wheels/Steering: 15" x 7" or 15" x 7.5" wheels, Alloy or Steel. A BMW Z3 steering rack can be fitted
Suspension: GAZ Gold Compact Cup (402R) specification coil overs with 600lb front and 275lb rear springs. Suspension bushes are free but should
be of a rubber or "Polybush" construction, and Gaz front adjustable top mounts are permitted.
